Do not block the front door or windows with shrubs.
Do not place in groups of even numbers (2,4,6 etc)
Do not have the shrubs around a focal point taller than your focal point
Do place shrubs in groups of odd numbers (3,5,7)
Do choose shrubs with fall color
Do place shrubs in contracting groups (for example group of green shrubs, next a group of yellow leafed shrubs)
