When I was little my mom made stockings for the whole family. Each is different and beautiful. All of us kids loved our personalized stockings. When I moved away into my own home I brought my Christmas stocking with me and my husband brought his. Ours didn’t match but that’s ok, the memories they each brought were priceless. When expecting our first child I made a stocking for him. I had so much fun doing it. Then when our triple daughters were born I made each of them some. I string a heavy-duty wire I bought at Lowe’s across the mantel (because we have a marble mantel) abs use Christmas ribbon to tie each stocking to the wire. I love the uniqueness that each stocking brings to our mantle.
