Meet Honey, Our New Dog

A small miracle happened in our home. Last June we lost our beloved dog of eleven years to congenital heart disease. It left us devastated, we weren’t prepared for just how lonely our house was without him. Our dog was a beautiful white pomeranian named Teton.  Anyways just before last Thanksgiving we studded him out and a couple months later the other dog had two puppies, one died at birth. The dam family kept the surviving puppy, they named her Honeybun and sent us pictures on occasion. This all happened before we were ever aware of Teton’s heart condition. Well last Tuesday I got a text from the dams mom and she said she might have a present for me. I was so excited hoping that it might be the puppy, Tetons puppy! Honeybun. sure enough it was! She told us she had had to take in her elderly father and having Honey was just too much. So she gave us Honeybun (we just call her Honey for short). I can’t even begin to express how excited and how we love her! We’ve only had her four days now but we love her and have really missed having a dog around. She is like getting a part of Teton back. The ways she tips her head when we talk to her, or chews on her paw, and her play biting are all little characteristics and habits that Teton had. She is definately much calmer than Teton, lol. She also loves kids, which is not that common with Pomeranians. They are generally not recommended around kids. But we’ve been lucky both Teton her father and her have loved our kids.   But what a miracle! We never thought it would be possible that six months after Teton died that we would be given his puppy! We are so happy!
